History of Guliana

·         Guliana having the village of Tehsil Gujar Khan has now placed the shape of town. It is the biggest village of Tehsil Gujar Khan. Distt. Rawalpindi, because nearer to the Tehsil Area, it is also being merging in Gujar Khan Territory. It is located at 33°12'0N 73°16'0E with an altitude of 448 meters (1473 feet)

·         Main Tribes and Castes: Awan Qutb Shahi, Bhagral Rajput, Badoal Rajput, Lodhra, Arain, Mughal Hayal, are the principal clans of Guliana.

PROMINENT PERSONS:

·         Chaudhry Muhamamd Saqlain Akhter,(Awan Qutb Shahi family of Mohala Lodhran are the largest landholders of Guliana through out the ancestors).

·         Ch. Zahid Iqbal, 2nd time Nazim of Gulyana from Mughal Hayal family.

·         Raja Sultan Mahmood, 2nd time Naib Nazim of Gulyana from Baghral Rajput family.

·         Ch. Muhammad Riaz, former (MNA and MPA) is the burgess from Guliana and won many times in Elections with a heavy margins from his opponents i.e Raja Abdul Aziz Bhatti, Raja Zamir Ahmad, and Mirza Abdul Razzaq alias KALA.

·         Most of the people of Guliana are scatter in most of the countries of Europe, America & Middle East. A large number of youngsters are also serving in Pak Army.
